American Violet film is based on true story about a 24 year old African-American a single  mother of four Dee Roberts ( Nicole Behaire), living in a small Texas town  and  victim of Texas police drug enforcers  by accusing her  as a drug dealer. Dee risk everything in a battle to prove her innocence. She become a fighter for truth and justice with the help of ACLU attorney David Cohen ( Tim Blake Nelson ) and former local narcotic officer Sam Conroy ( Will Patton).

This heavy drama directed by Tim Disney (the grand nephew of Walt Disney) should have been the one of the most cogent ad powerful movies of the year by making for a cinematic experience more tedious than affecting. The movie are rated PG-13 for thematic material, violence, drug references and language and has been released today April 17, 2009 in your favorite theater Nationwide ( Limited).
